Our Design Process

Eldridge Lumberyard's mission has always been to transform our clients' visions and ideas into reality by designing uniquely-tailored, personalized structures. We offer an array of draft options as we have a diverse team of designers who are keen on meeting and exceeding expectations and needs of individuals, contractors and inspectors. Though we typically specialize in homes, we also design agricultural, small commercial, and timber frame buildings.

We are committed to creating the perfect plan for our clients and work directly with  customers from the beginning of the design process through the completion of the building phase. Our initial design process begins with our customers' ideas, making the plans original and customized to each and every client. We know that expectations and ideas may change throughout the course of design and ensure our clients are getting exactly what they envision by being in contact with them regularly.

Since the age of 12, David took on the traditional, hands-on approach of designing in comparison to utilizing computerized techniques. After college, he joined his father in the lumber industry and holds a reputation  for his true artistic abilities as hand-drawn plans are sought after in today's era of technology. David is the only designer in the area who draws by hand.

Mitch has worked for the Eldridge Lumberyard since high school and began learning the industry with the assistance of Steve and David. Mitch is also one of our tech specialists and helped the lumberyard implement our computer-aided design system. He now holds the position of head designer of the CAD department.

Like David, Carl started in the building industry at a young age as he grew up in a family of carpenters and general contractors. He has been a trim carpenter, a framer, and graduated college with a degree in finance. The combination of his experience and degree has made him a valuable asset to our staff.
